eTwo™ is an FDA cleared aesthetic device that includes two unique treatments called Sublative® and Sublime™ for a Complete Facial Rejuvenation.
What makes eTwo™ different from other skin rejuvenation devices?
Patients today desire face-lift-type results, yet do not want the weeks–to even months–of downtime associated with those treatments. How does Sublative® RF work?
Sublative® Rejuvenation uses fractional bi-polar radio frequency to penetrate through the skin–to allow more energy beneath the surface of the skin, to really maximize collagen production–while keeping the top layer of the skin intact.
The Sublative® RF works by treating the selected skin area via a grid of tiny spots. The surrounding skin acts as a healing reservoir, regenerating and restoring collagen while accelerating the healing process to ensure limited downtime. The heat from the radio frequency energy creates a collagen response at selected levels and at selected coverage concentration of skin area.
Post treatment, you may notice mild to moderate wrinkles and superficial skin discolorations are reduced, and the texture of your skin becomes smoother and more elastic.
Where can Sublative® RF be used?
In addition to facial areas, Sublative RF treatments can be performed on many areas of the body, whereas most other fractional ablative systems using laser are limited to the face only.
Is there downtime?
At the moderate levels expect 2-3 days of redness and swelling and up to 7 days of the light crusts or bronzing left from the fractionated tip, which is completely normal and expected. At higher treatment energy levels this is not a lunchtime procedure and most people will choose to do this when they have a few days off work or their social activities. We recommend avoiding “thermal trauma” to treated skin for 24-48 hours – any activity that will make the treated area hot, such as exercise, hot water, sun exposure. Makeup may be applied 24 hours after the treatment.
Tiny crusts form in 24 - 72 hours in the treated zones. These will fall off naturally and should not be rubbed or picked. You may not see these but you will be able to feel them.
Does Sublative® RF resurfacing hurt?
Most patients feel a warm or pinprick sensation during treatment but agree the actual treatment is very tolerable. A warm or hot sensation will gradually build within the skin for about 2 hours after treatment and then subside.
Do I need more than one treatment?
Most patients opt for 3 or 4 treatments. Each treatment takes about 30 minutes. Results are cumulative and improve over time as collagen processes work beneath the skin surface. Because the treatment does not remove full surface skin, healing is quicker and far more risk free. It will take up to 6 months for the full effect of each treatment to be visible.
