Juvéderm Voluma™ XC
Juvéderm Voluma™ is a facial filler made of hyaluronic acid (HA) designed to help restore age-related volume loss in the cheeks and midface. Voluma is the newest filler in the Juvéderm family and the newest HA soft tissue filler to gain FDA approval. It is formulated with a local anesthetic for added comfort during treatment.
Juvéderm Voluma™ is unique in that the HA is cross-linked through a special process to provide excellent lifting capability. This cross-linking process also helps to avoid degradation, making Voluma last almost twice as long as other fillers. The results are immediate and can last up to 2 years. Voluma may be used with other facial fillers to achieve a natural, more youthful look.
Juvéderm Voluma™ treatments are done in the office and take approximately 30 minutes. There is typically no downtime after a Juvéderm Voluma™ treatment, and patients may return to their normal activities. There may be transient side effects such as bruising or minor swelling.
